Stevan Buxbaum

Stevan Buxbaum, Executive Vice President, leads the marketing and business development efforts of Buxbaum Group and has been active in the field of consumer product appraisal and liquidation for over 20 years. Mr. Buxbaum was originally an associate of Buxbaum & Associates and participated in his first liquidation in 1977 with the closing of Smith Bridgman department stores in Flint, Michigan.

Mr. Buxbaum embarked on another career path in 1980 with the development of a chain of women's off-price apparel stores in the Los Angeles area. Subsequently, he served as CEO of Blue Man swimwear, the US division of the largest swimwear manufacturer in Brazil. Mr. Buxbaum returned to the liquidation and appraisal business full time in 1989 as one of the original associates of Buxbaum's Asset Appraisal division.

 Since 1989 Mr. Buxbaum has provided inventory appraisal and liquidation services to many of the country's leading commercial lending institutions. One of Mr. Buxbaum's previous companies was also the first liquidator in November 1998 to stage part of a going out of business sale on the Internet with the liquidation of Sun TV, a regional chain of electronics and appliance superstores.
Mr. Buxbaum regularly leads seminars on Asset Appraisal topics at various industry forums. He is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles and currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Buxbaum maintains its Midwest regional offices.
